About this work
A prince leaves his sleeping beloved who lies on a yellow bed; on the roof of her palace stands a peacock. At the bottom of the scene is a broad decorative border of a winding yellow border around blue and green medallions against a red background; at the top is a broad yellow border with a three-line inscription in Old Indian script.
