About this work

A composition of a resting prince under a tree, while his horse bites a dog-like creature by the neck; above and below the composition, four columns of text in Persian script, with border lines in black, gold, and red. The sheet around is painted with golden floral and foliate motifs, the narrow right edge in ornament, the bottom left corner cut off diagonally and unpainted. Composition, text, and sheet form a whole.
