About this work

A group of men stands in a rocky landscape before a kind of volcano where a half-dressed saint with flames around his head sits; in the background, a shepherd with goats and sheep. The composition is irregular in shape and framed by narrow black border lines colored with gold; this sheet is the first in a triptych.
