About this work
Two men sitting in a garden. Next to them flows a river. Behind the men stands a fence and several trees. The scene is surrounded by a thin border with white, yellow, and red flowers (new). The whole is mounted on a wider border with flowers in gold, consisting of various pieces (clippings from other drawings from the period). All mounted on a dark brown background (new).
