About this work
The men stand at the edge of a wood and admire a hare held aloft by one of the hunters. They wear hunting clothes and each have a rifle under their arm. In the background, a third hunter holds up a hunting trophy. Leaf 2 recto from a sketchbook of 51 leaves.
