About this work
In this design for a lorgnette made of horn Lalique has exploited the different colours present in the material, causing the leaves to stand out in dark relief. The red flowers would probably be enamelled. Lalique's jewels were eagerly collected by his contemporaries, and his design drawings were also sought after.
