About this work

Continuation (fourth page) of the introductory texts in three columns in Dutch, Latin, and French, in which the compiler of the albums addresses the reader. For the beginning, see p. 23. Part of the first album of drawings of quadrupeds. First of twelve albums of drawings of animals, birds, and plants known around 1600, made on commission of Emperor Rudolf II. With commentary in Dutch, Latin, and French.
