Drawing of a red-capped mangabey on a chain and an inserted print with two monkeys. Numbered in the upper right: 8. Part of the second album with drawings of quadrupeds. Second of twelve albums with drawings of animals, birds, and plants known around 1600, made on commission of Emperor Rudolf II. With explanations in Dutch, Latin, and French.
