Two common brush-tailed monkeys. Numbered in the upper right: 9. Inscription with names in Latin. Part of the second album with drawings of quadrupeds. Second of twelve albums with drawings of animals, birds, and plants known around 1600, made on commission of Emperor Rudolf II. With explanations in Dutch, Latin, and French.
