Dodo. Numbered top right: 33. Name in two languages top left. At the bottom an annotation in French and Dutch stating that this is a dodo or walgvogel. Part of the first album with drawings of birds. Third of twelve albums with drawings of animals, birds and plants known around 1600, made on commission of Emperor Rudolf II. With explanations in Dutch, Latin and French.
