Hawfinch. Numbered top left: 20. Name in four languages in the top right corner. At the bottom of the sheet, an annotation about a specimen shot in Ostend in 1802. Part of the first album of bird drawings. Third of twelve albums of drawings of animals, birds, and plants known around 1600, made on the order of Emperor Rudolf II. With commentary in Dutch, Latin, and French.
