Barnacle goose. Numbered top right: 9. With Latin and German names. Part of the third album of bird drawings. Fifth of twelve albums of drawings of animals, birds and plants known around 1600, made on commission of Emperor Rudolf II. With commentary in Dutch, Latin and French.
