About this work

Crown imperial and a (Bohemian) apple. Numbered top right: 7 and 8. With Latin names. Part of the first album of drawings of flowers and plants. Eighth of twelve albums of drawings of animals, birds and plants known around 1600, made on commission of Emperor Rudolf II. With commentary in Dutch, Latin and French.
