Lady's slipper orchid. Numbered top right: 62. Here also the name in three languages. Part of the first album of drawings of flowers and plants. Eighth of twelve albums of drawings of animals, birds, and plants known around 1600, made on commission of Emperor Rudolf II. With commentary in Dutch, Latin, and French.
