About this work

Two types of carnations. Numbered top right: 114. With the Latin name. Part of the second album with drawings of flowers and plants. Ninth of twelve albums with drawings of animals, birds and plants known around 1600, made on commission of Emperor Rudolf II. With annotations in Dutch, Latin and French.
