About this work

White star hyacinth, cotyledons on the right. But it could also be bird's milk. Numbered 166 in the upper right. Names in various languages next to the flowers. Part of the second album with drawings of flowers and plants. Ninth of twelve albums with drawings of animals, birds and plants known around 1600, made on commission of Emperor Rudolf II. With explanations in Dutch, Latin and French.
