About this work

The Prinsenjacht and the Statenjacht, presumably awaiting the arrival of Charles II, King of England, at Moerdijk, 1660. The yachts are anchored in the harbor among a fleet of other small boats and rowboats. On the quay in the foreground a group of men playing cards, to the right an inn with women and drinking soldiers.
