About this work
The Last Judgment and the burial of the dead, the seventh work of Mercy. In the middle above Christ sits on the globe on the rainbow with raised arms, the sky is full of angels blowing trumpets, holding the cross with bible high and a sword or lily branch. On earth rise on the left the dead who are saved, on the right the damned souls and devils. In the middle several men in black bury a coffin.
