Portrait of Paulus Verschuur (1606-67), elected in 1651. Merchant and multiple times mayor of Rotterdam. Bust in oval to the right. Free copy after the portrait by Frans Hals from 1643 in the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York. Part of a series of portraits of the directors of the Rotterdam Chamber of the Dutch East India Company, made for the New East India House from 1698 at the Boompjes in Rotterdam.
