View of The Hague, from the Delftse Vaart in the seventeenth century. To the left a road runs along the water where a mill stands and some walkers are walking, on a bridge a man with a fishing rod stands. To the right on the water a towboat. Made to embellish the festivities held on 27 May 1852 on the occasion of the unveiling of the statue of Rembrandt.
