About this work
The contest between Apollo and Pan with the Judgment of Midas. Apollo plays a violin, next to him Athena. In the middle sits Tmolus acting as judge. Next to him Midas, with donkey ears, and Pan with pan flute raising his hand in the air cheering. Satyrs and muses are also present as spectators.
