About this work

Portrait of David Jorisz (1501-56). Glass painter in Delft, later leader of the Anabaptists between 1535-40 and subsequently of Davidism. Since 1544 in Basel. Bust in an oval with a cap, family arms in the upper right. Later copy after an original from ca. 1550.
