Jan Both (c. 1615 - 1652). Italian landscape with mule driver, c. 1650. Trees and mountains, caught by the rays of the sun, determine the atmosphere in Both's Italianizing landscapes. Bequest of A. van der Hoop, 1854. On loan from the city of Amsterdam, 1885.
