About this work
Triptych with the Adoration of the Magi on the central panel. Before a ruin sits Mary with the Christ Child on her lap among the three kings in adoration. In the stable Joseph stands by the ox and donkey; two angels hold a radiant star aloft. In the background, in two small scenes, the journey of the three wise men is depicted. On the left inner wing the departure of the three kings from a port city; on the outer wing Saint Anthony Abbot with a book and a pig. On the right wing the procession of the three kings in a landscape; on the outer wing Saint Adrian with a sword, anvil and lion. Verso a grisaille.
