Ships at anchor off the coast, with an admiralty ship in the foreground bearing the initials ('W.v.V.') of the painter on the white stripe of the Dutch flag on the stern. Behind it a fluyt. Small cargo ships, a mirror yacht, and rowboats to the left and right.
