About this work
Gilded frame with a border with leaf-and-tongue pattern along the outside and a hollow back. The convex inner wall has pronounced ornaments, built up from geometric figures and stylized flower and leaf motifs on an incised diamond pattern. Inside, the frame has a hollow bottom, a wide border with a leaf-and-tongue pattern and a flat border along the day side.
