About this work

Gilded frame with a profiled back and a flat wall crown. The smooth inner wall has an inverted ogee profile with shallow ornaments in the corners built up from a palmette surrounded by curls, flower, leaf, and crown shapes. Inside, the frame has a hollow border and a border with flower shapes along the day side.
