Collection locality: Songbai Cun: Xianghua Zhen along Maluchang, a tributary of Longkou He (Longkou River), Shennongjia Forest, Hubei, China. Collected by David E. Boufford, Tao Deng, Michael J. Donoghue, Patrick W. Sweeney, Daigui Zhang, 2014-08-21. Tree ca. 3 meters tall; leaves lighter green on lower surface, green on upper surface; fruit immature, but turning reddish; aromatic with fragrance similar to huajiao (Sichuan pepper) when bruised. DNA material available.; YU number 94830; lot count 1; accn=YPM.12179.
