Type status: hypotype. Geological context: Late Cretaceous, Fox Hills Fm, Timber Lake Mbr. Collection locality: lower 6 ft of unit 1, just below Hell Creek contact, draw NW of small banded-bed butte, badlands in NW-facing bluff, .5 mi S of Hump Creek and 1.2 mi E of SD Rt. 65, and 2.4 mi NE of Black Horse, Corson County, South Dakota, USA. Collected by Karl M. Waage, Ian G. Speden, 1959/1962. IP number 24382; lot count 1; accn=IPA.07048.
