About this work

Geological context: Paleogene, Renova Fm. Collection locality: Beaverhead fossil sites comprise a composite valley in the southwestern section of Beaverhead County in southwestern Montana. Northern valley is slightly west of Bannack and 25 miles southwest of Dillon, Beaverhead County, Montana, USA. Collected by Herman F. Becker. Becker identified this specimen as a fresh water snail, cf. remains of possibly Gyraurus? Steve Manchester idenitified this specimen February, 1994, as Potammogeton, not a snail.; PB number 29536; lot count 1; accn=YPM.07579.
