About this work

Type status: hypotype. Geological context: Late Cretaceous, Fox Hills Fm, Timber Lake Mbr. Collection locality: 30e - collection compound of all Yale colls. made from concs. in, and +/-25 ft above the "big Sphenodiscus" layer, i.e. in richest part of linguaeformis layers in and just beneath the Idonearca zone [CAZ], S side, head of southernmost gully near road, exposures flanking gully head just W of SD Rt. 63 at first sharp curve as road drops into breaks on N side of Moreau River, 4.5 mi NNE of Green Grass, Dewey County, South Dakota, USA. Collected by Karl M. Waage, George Colton, Daniel S. Barker, Jonathan K. Waage, Peter Hilgeford. IP number 23689; lot count 1; microconch; accn=IPA.07048.
