Collection locality: lenticular fossiliferous outcrop of cross-bedded ss 4-5 ft thick and 40 ft in diam., at about 5800-ft elev. in N-facing valley head, SW side of the Fossil Basin, & 1.2 mi W of W shore of Ruby River Reservoir, & 1.6 mi WNW of Metzel Ranch house, Madison County, Montana, USA.
