About this work
Vaguely Aesthetic Movement pattern repeated in off-set columns; two motifs repeated vertically; one a large bouquet of foliage with two ears of wheat and a large flower; one a small stylized motif; vertical band between each column consisting of a repeated arrow-like symmetrical motif composed of abstract elements, highly stylized leaves, and cobweb; this motif somewhat reminiscent of Dresser in its treatment of leaves; color scheme of orange-red highlighting on the vertical elements; floral motifs highlighted with dull gold and pale orange as well as white; pale blue-grey ground.
