Two Bishops (Saint Ulrich? and Saint Blaise)
From the collection of Kunstmuseum Basel. Free to download, adapt and use — no permission needed.
About this work
The two panels belonged to the same altarpiece as a depiction of St. Erasmus in Budapest (Museum of Fine Arts, Inv. 85.1). After its restoration in 1984, this was recognized as a work by Jakob Cornelisz. van Oostsanen or his workshop. Possibly also from the same context is the fragment of another holy bishop (see Friedländer ENP 12 (1975), No. 286a).
