Kennedy Space Center, Fla. — Following the mock countdown on Launch Pad 39B, STS-114 Pilot James Kelly makes a speedy exit from Space Shuttle Discovery as part of emergency egress training from the launch pad. This is part of the pre-launch training included in Terminal Countdown Demonstration Test (TCDT) activities. TCDT provides the crew of each mission an opportunity to participate in various simulated countdown activities, including equipment familiarization and emergency egress training.
