About this work
In the Orbiter Processing Facility bay 1, the Pressurized Mating Adapter -3 (PMA-3) is lifted out of the payload canister for its transfer to the orbiter Discovery. A component of the International Space Station, the PMA-3 is part of the payload on Shuttle mission STS-92, scheduled to launch Oct. 5. The mission will be the fifth flight to the Space Station, and the 100th Shuttle flight overall.
