Kennedy Space Center, Fla. — Using an overhead crane, workers move the ground support equipment that will be used to lift the Japanese Experiment Module (JEM) remote manipulator system after it is uncrated. The Japanese Aerospace Exploration Agency developed the laboratory known as "Kibo" (Hope) and includes an exposed facility (platform) for space environment experiments, the RMS and two logistics modules.
