Kennedy Space Center, Fla. — Astronaut Andrew Feustel watches other cars on the Daytona International Speedway. Feustel had his turn at riding around the track, taking "hot laps" in an official track vehicle. Feustel is participating in NASCAR's Preseason Thunder Fan Fest at the speedway, also meeting with fans and the media. Feustel's appearance celebrates NASA's 50th anniversary and the speedway's 50th running of the Daytona 500 in February. The NASA/NASCAR association spans decades.
