CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. -- On Launch Pad 39B at NASA's Kennedy Space Center, workers maneuver the lightning mast onto the ground. It is part of the lightning protection system being built for the Constellation Program and Ares/Orion launches. Pad B will be the site of the first Ares vehicle launch, including Ares I-X which is scheduled for April 2009.
