CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. – In the Vehicle Assembly Building at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida, this platform will be removed from high bay 3 as part of the refurbishment of the facility for the Constellation Program's Ares 1-X vehicle. The Ares I and Ares V rockets will be more than 325 feet tall, considerably taller than the space shuttle atop its mobile launcher platform.
