CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. – On Launch Pad 39A at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida, STS-127 Commander Mark Polansky and Pilot Doug Hurley get seated in the slidewire basket as they practice emergency exit procedures that are part of the terminal countdown demonstration test, which concluded with a simulated launch countdown. Endeavour's STS-127 mission is the final of three flights dedicated to the assembly of the Japanese Kibo laboratory complex on the International Space Station.
