SAN DIEGO, Calif. – A mock-up of the Orion forward bay cover is being lifted by crane on the USS Anchorage during the second day of Orion Underway Recovery Test 3 in the Pacific Ocean. NASA, Lockheed Martin and U.S. Navy personnel are conducting the recovery test using the Orion boilerplate test vehicle and mock-up forward bay cover to prepare for recovery of the Orion crew module on its return from a deep space mission.
