About this work
Inside the Integrated Processing Facility at Vandenberg Space Force Base in California, preparations are underway to perform ultraviolet and white light inspections on one of two United Launch Alliance Atlas V rocket payload fairings for NASA’s Landsat 9 satellite on June 17, 2021. The fairings will encapsulate the satellite for its launch atop the Atlas V from Vandenberg in September 2021. The launch is being managed by NASA’s Launch Services Program based at Kennedy Space Center in Florida.
