About this work
The summer, dry season in Australia is marked by small to massive bushfires. The remote town of Yarloop, about 75 miles (120 kilometers) south of the Western Australian capital of Perth, was destroyed as part of a 100,000-acre (405-square kilometer) blaze that started on January 7, 2016. The fire burned trees in the forested mountains, and extended down to the coast.
