About this work
This map shows the planned route NASA's Perseverance Mars rover will take across the top of Jezero Crater's delta in 2023. The rover's planned route is in black, with black dots representing notional waypoints for science or sampling along the way, while the ground it already covered is in white. A key objective for Perseverance's mission on Mars is astrobiology, including the search for signs of ancient microbial life.
