About this work

This is a bound copy Jacob Willets’ <i>Map of the State of New York</i> that was published by Paraclete Potter of Poughkeepsie, New York in 1815. In a time when travel was difficult and navigation done by hand, it was important to have accurate maps. Willets’ maps also appeared in other book such as the <i>Easy Grammar of Geography</i>.
