Jacquard woven ribbon with abstract design of stylized leaves and scrollwork composed of red and green leaves with beige leaves and trailing vines on black ground; design outlined by narrow beige band with curving leaves; edged with beige yarn and narrow green band. Fabricated in St. Etienne, France between 1850-1900. From the Merci Train or Graditude Train from France.
