About this work

Jacquard woven ribbon with floral design of bouquets of pink flowers with red and gold center surrounded by green leaves with smaller blue and pink flowers with gold stems on black ground; bouquets connected by curling leaves and stylized vines in bold; narrow red band along edges with gold edging. Fabricated in St. Etienne, France between 1850-1900. From the Merci Train or Graditude Train from France.
