Jacquard woven ribbon with abstract design of stylized leaves and vines in yellow surround stylized polychrome flowers on black ground; vines curling to form heart-shaped designs connecting to abstract red flower; striped band of blue and red outlined with narrow yellow band and bisected by repeating arrow pattern; black edging. Fabricated in St. Etienne, France between 1850-1900. From the Merci Train or Graditude Train from France.
