Jacquard woven ribbon with abstract design of interlocking quatrefoils and pointed arches in white red and green on black ground; shapes contain stylized flowers in red, green and blue; design framed by yellow border on black ground with repeating sequence of stars and circles; yellow band along edges. Fabricated in St. Etienne, France between 1850-1900. From the Merci Train or Gratitude Train from France.
